I do flash studio photography for many clients, this can be, for example, photographing hundreds of plants and small trees for Homebase, or it might be shooting all the review models of toasters and kettles for Which? Magazine, as well as multiple books and magazine covers for illustrator Seb Braun.
I have all the LED lighting equipment needed for product photography, including backdrops, light tents and studio lights and can either set this up in my own studio space, or equally I can bring it to wherever you are. Often companies set me up in a side/meeting room and I happily create a mini studio set-up ready for anything – people or products.
I work with my laptop when shooting studio photography, which can be tethered to the camera. This shows immediate results and is very popular with clients.
One of the more memorable studio photography shoots I’ve done was taking portraits of a large collection of birds of prey (at the International Centre for Birds of Prey). I photographed many different birds including owls, vultures, eagles, condors and falcons. The portraits were taken in front of a studio backdrop and their handler brought them in to be photographed one by one being careful not to scare or alarm them at all times. This collection of photos made up my exhibition OWL and Bird/Bath. See my blog post about the exhibition for more info. You can also see the gallery page dedicated to birds of prey.
Get in touch to discuss your studio photography needs. There are no limits to where I can bring my set-up – Bristol, London, Birmingham, Cheltenham, Cardiff.. you name it.
