Bristol: Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, at the M-Shed, from November 30th 2013. A total pleasure.
One of the great things about being a Bristol based photographer is that I get the chance to see some superb touring exhibitions of photography which come here. Every year the Wildlife Photographer of the Year turns up (it is being housed by the M Shed this year) and never fails to be superb. The photographers somehow seem to be able to re-interpret the brief constantly. Whether it’s that exact moment when a frog sticks out its tongue, a particularly dramatic dust cloud brought about by an animal about to catch its lunch or just the beauty of an animal’s eye, in close up.
It’s running for several months this year, from 30th November through to 23rd February 2014, so there’s plenty of time to see it. I would say that the above image (the lion to the camera) would make a stunning print, too.
Here’s the info from Visit Bristol about it:
See you there!
