Model Session : Isabelle Rocks!

When I was asked to do a photo session with an up and coming young model called Isabelle Williams we immediately started pondering locations close to Bristol. Many ideas were thrown around (including reservoir settings), but we settled on the excellent caves in Wotton-under-Edge, which are perfect for model shoots.

The location has a few different feels so we did several different shots. My favourite is possibly the shot of her sitting on the branch shown above.

Izzy has an effortless cool which made taking these pictures a breeze… effortlessly going between a genuine smile to that enigmatic gaze which is so popular in countless magazines, brochures, advertising.

I mostly used my 85mm f1.2 lens with the 5Ds for these to get the background blur.. it’s a difficult lens to use but I love the results.
