BIRD/BATH Photography Exhibition – April 20th 7.30pm – then 21st and 22nd 10-4pm

I hope you are all well! As some of you know, I have been very busy putting together a new exhibition of my photography and I would love it if you could come to the preview night.

The exhibition features large birds of prey portrait prints taken at The International Centre for Birds of Prey and several creative portrait shoots taken in the water at Wotton Pool.

The preview night is in Wotton-under-Edge this Friday the 20th April from 7.30pm. On the night we have a special performance by one of the portrait subjects – Bristol Jazz singer Lady Nade, and also a chance to meet Zonda the Black Eagle, whose portrait you can see below. There is a licensed bar at the Arts Centre.

If you can’t make it on Friday then it’s also on Saturday and Sunday next weekend from 10am – 4pm.

See below for the official press release text or visit the Facebook Event Page.

An exciting split exhibition of new work by local photographer Paul Groom, revealing work taken over the last two years.

Half of the exhibition brings together various shoots at Wotton Outdoor Swimming Pool featuring performers using the water to convey feelings. The other half of the exhibition shows stunning portraits of birds of prey taken at The International Centre for Birds of Prey (Newent, Glos), taken against colour backgrounds and printed at large size to truly appreciate the beautiful feather detail and majesty of these elegant and intriguing birds. This is also an opportunity to see some of the images from Paul’s exhibition OWL, which was exhibited at the Tobacco Factory, Bristol.
