First Dates Announce NEW SERIES! Photos by Paul Groom Photography at Bath location
First Dates announce new series to start on Channel 4 on August 6th. Photography by Paul Groom
I had a great time being the Channel 4 / Twenty Twenty photographer for this First Dates new series (and the previous one in January) and I thought I’d share some of the best shots with you. I photographed every single guest who came through the door to the restaurant, and also shot portraits of all of the First Dates staff including Fred, Merlin and Cici. Sometimes on these TV jobs I take what is known as ‘Unit Stills’ which are basically behind the scenes photos. My job is to photograph the TV program being filmed myself and, importantly, not be noisy. The First Dates job didn’t have this element as I was too busy taking portraits of the guests as they finished their meals, but I really enjoy this element when it does occur, as you get an entirely different feel to the pictures.
