I had the great pleasure of creating the Westminster School Bursary film this year, you might’ve seen my time-lapse video showing the set-up which I posted a month or two ago (I’ve included it at the bottom of the page, here)… I’m very pleased to be able to show the final video. As well as filming interviews with several Old Westminsters (or OWs as they’re called), I shot several different creative clips around the beautiful school and grounds as well as photographing the OWs for brochure usage. I hope you enjoy the film. Here are a few screen grab highlights from the film with a quick bit of info… After an initial recce session we chose one of the historic libraries at Westminster as our place to shoot. We were absolutely spoiled for choice as to where to take the creative b-roll for the film, here we are looking over the Westminster lawn. We tried various situations including this chess game between two Old Westminsters which added a nice bit of visual quirkiness. My photography for TV is certainly varied, you might’ve seen my recent blog post for the last show I provided the promo shots for (Open House, the Great Sex Experiment) and now I have the great pleasure to present images from a fascinating two-part series about a period of time in which The Channel Islands was controlled by the Nazis. Over the years this period has been portrayed in various different ways, but this new Channel 4 / Minnow Films production is drawn from eye-witness accounts from people who were actually there at the time, and having seen them recording it and reading up about it, it promises to be superb. I was asked to take some portraits of the various characters, but also portraits of historians Prof Gilly Carr and Louise Willmot, who were providing their expert opinion on the portrayal. Hi all! A quick update about my work around the internet… Really enjoying seeing my photos coming out for the new series of Channel 4’s Open House coming out now. The new series starts TONIGHT (Friday 9th May). Produced by Firecracker Films. As you can see, we tried two versions of couples reading the Non-Monogamy book, so you’ll see them on different websites along with the hot tub image and portraits of the expert Effy Blue along with portraits of the guests. A superb day all round, with only a few moments when I didn’t know where to put my eyes. For more information, see under the photos for an auto generated fact file about the show. I’m very pleased to be able to show the poster for the upcoming production of Too Many Greek Myths by Living Spit. The photo shoot was a few weeks ago and we had a great time. Thanks to Ali (of Living Spit) I’ve got some video from the photo shoot which I thought I’d share here. Hope you like them. We tried shots here set against the water. These photos didn’t end up being used. Instead we used the white background shots (see next video). We needed a close up of a hand pointing / generally gesticulating. Which is easy until you over think it.
