First Dates weekly listings appearances I’m excited to share some recent work I’ve been involved with in the TV industry! If you’ve been flipping through the latest TV weeklies like TV Times and TV Choice, you might have spotted a few familiar faces—Fred and Merlin from Channel 4’s First Dates. I’m thrilled to say that my photographs of them are featured in this week’s editions, leading up to the new series airing on August 6, 2024. Behind the Scenes at First Dates These images were part of a larger portrait series I shot for the show, featuring all the staff at different locations within the restaurant. Each photo was designed to capture the personalities and roles of the staff. For example, I snapped Merlin shaking a cocktail shaker, Cici holding a tray as if she’s about to serve a guest, and Fred posed next to his podium where he famously introduces couples. It was a fun shoot, offering a great opportunity to showcase the vibrant atmosphere and dynamic energy of First Dates. As a Bristol photographer with years of experience in TV and film, I was thrilled to capture every guest who walked through the restaurant doors. It was a joy to document each person, helping to create visual memories of their dating journey. In addition to photographing the guests, I also took portraits of the First Dates staff, including the well-known faces of Fred Sirieix, Merlin Griffiths, and Cici Coleman. It was a real pleasure to work with such a warm and welcoming team.
