Photography for the new production by the superb Living Spit theatre company.

I’m very pleased to be able to show the poster for the upcoming production of Too Many Greek Myths by Living Spit. The photo shoot was a few weeks ago and we had a great time. Thanks to Ali (of Living Spit) I’ve got some video from the photo shoot which I thought I’d share here. Hope you like them.

Get your tickets for this show at their website, here: https://www.livingspit.co.uk

Behind the Scenes!

The lovely surroundings of the Clevedon lido, close to Bristol.

We tried shots here set against the water. These photos didn’t end up being used. Instead we used the white background shots (see next video).

We needed a close up of a hand pointing / generally gesticulating. Which is easy until you over think it.

The session which ended up being used – the white background with the cardboard box standing in for the giant stone letters.

Here’s a fact file on Living Spit which you might appreciate!

Living Spit is a Clevedon-based theatre company known for its inventive, musical comedy productions. Founded by Howard Coggins and Stu McLoughlin, the company has been delighting audiences across the UK with their unique blend of humour, music, and storytelling. Their shows often feature a small cast playing multiple roles, accompanied by live music and a healthy dose of silliness.

Over the years, Living Spit has tackled a wide range of subjects, from historical figures to classic literature, always with their signature comedic twist. Some of their past productions include “The Six Wives of Henry VIII,” “Adolf & Winston,” “Frankenstein,” and “The Odyssey.” Each show is crafted with care, combining witty writing, catchy songs, and inventive staging to create an engaging theatrical experience.

Their upcoming production, “Too Many Greek Myths,” promises to be another hilarious adventure. In this show, the gods of Olympus challenge the performers to recount twenty Greek myths in a single performance. Expect to see everything from Medusa to Hercules, all delivered with Living Spit’s trademark irreverence and charm. The show will tour various venues across the UK, including The Theatre Shop in Clevedon, The Blakehay Theatre in Weston-super-Mare, and the Tobacco Factory Theatres in Bristol.

Living Spit’s success lies in their ability to connect with audiences through humour and creativity. Their performances are intimate and interactive, often breaking the fourth wall and inviting the audience to join in the fun. This approach has earned them a loyal following and critical acclaim.

In addition to their stage productions, Living Spit also offers a podcast, merchandise, and other content through their website, allowing fans to engage with their work beyond the theatre. Their commitment to making theatre accessible and entertaining continues to set them apart in the performing arts scene.
