Hi, my name is Paul Groom, I’m a corporate photographer and videographer in and around Bristol, please see the portfolio section above to browse the various services which I’ve been providing to companies around Bristol and beyond for almost 20 years, including portrait photography, as well as PR & editorial shoots, corporate events, TV & Film work, industrial, studio work, and architectural and interiors / office shoots, to both corporate / business and private clients.
I love being a photographer in Bristol, the city is alive with creativity and energy, and I feel very fortunate to be based in such an inspiring place. Whether I’m working on a commercial shoot: portraits or buildings, or even a personal project, the environment here always offers fresh inspiration.

Bristol has a unique blend of old and new, from the historic charm of Clifton and its iconic Suspension Bridge to the industrial edges of Stokes Croft, covered in vibrant street art. Each part of the city has its own personality, and I love that I get to use it as a backdrop for the varied briefs which come my way.
As a corporate photographer in Bristol, I have the privilege of capturing inspiring discussions, presentations and debates at numerous conferences and events throughout the year, recently these have been at Bristol’s legendary Old Vic Theatre, We The Curious, M-Shed and the conference facility at Brunel’s famous SS Great Britain.
Bristol has a long history of being a creative hub, and it’s easy to see why. You can walk down almost any street and stumble upon murals or pop-up galleries. The city is also home to festivals like Upfest, Europe’s largest street art festival, where artists from all over the world transform entire streets into open-air exhibitions. I find it fascinating how this constantly evolving art scene means that no two days are ever the same.

Beyond the art, the landmarks themselves are a photographer’s dream. There’s the grandeur of the harbourside with its mix of boats, water, and modern architecture, or the atmospheric ruins of St. Peter’s Church in Castle Park, right next to the famous bendy bridge which takes you over to Finzels Reach. And, of course, the views from Cabot Tower – such a brilliant spot to capture the sprawling cityscape. Even places like Ashton Court Estate, with its vast green spaces, make for some truly picturesque backdrops.
What makes my job even more special is the people. I’m able to work with so many talented and creative individuals here, which really fuels my passion for what I do. I love that Bristol has this incredible community of businesses, entrepreneurs, artists, designers, and innovators. It feels like everyone’s working on something, and that energy is contagious.
Over the years I have photographed many building sites and projects which have gone on to be magnificent structures. I sometimes begin working with companies right at the beginning and photograph the progress stages of a project, to then re-visit regularly to show development. I can then also come back at the end of a project to photograph the final results for press releases and case studies. We can look at video, too, whether it’s a promo video for the final build, or progress video for client’s to post on social media to raise awareness of their forthcoming creations. I can often be found wearing safety boots and high-vis jackets around and about Bristol.
Every day I’m reminded why I chose to settle and work in Bristol. It’s a place where creativity thrives, and I’m proud to be a part of its artistic landscape. Please do contact me to discuss your project and photography or video needs.
